My Story
Hello!
I’m Alaysha Prestia, a dedicated Private Practice psychotherapist with over ten years of experience in mental health. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of supporting adults, children, and families in various settings, including residential, in-home, and outpatient care. My diverse background as a clinical consultant and adjunct professor has deepened my understanding of mental health, reinforcing the belief that everyone—yes, even mental health professionals—needs a little help sometimes.
I often encounter women who feel burnt out, tired, unheard, and overwhelmed by the pressures of managing it all. They may experience anxiety that leads to avoidance of interactions, obligations, and tasks, creating a cycle of guilt and shame. I’m passionate about helping women break this cycle of anxiety.
In my practice, I specialize in empowering women to find balance in their lives and overcome stress, anxiety, and exhaustion caused by workplace pressures, challenging relationships, and people-pleasing behaviors.
